The LOGAN School was established in 1950 with two teachers, 22 students, and an initial budget of just $24.

Initially housed in an abandoned and dilapidated building on the Family and Children's Center property, the school faced significant challenges, including structural issues like a hole in the floor.

Despite these obstacles, dedicated parents and community members collaborated to restore and transform the building into a welcoming and functional school. For many children, this transformed space marked their first experience of a classroom setting, reflecting a powerful community commitment to accessible education.
